i jus tried the chop shop for the 1st time ever! lol..i never sample but *uck i might as well learn sum time right...but i gotta question for you chop shop users, after you chop up the sample and convert it to a new program and all that, can u go back and change start and/or end of any 1 of the 16 chops? or is better to do that before you convert??

You should get it close as possible in the shop. Once you slice it, you can't add anything to the beginning if you cut too much. You can set it so it saves more of the end beyond the point of your chop setting. The default is 10, but I use 20. And you don't have to chop in 16's. If you push the slice button in the shop, you can set it to as many parts as you want. I think the max is 64, but I'm not sure.

Exactly that. Imagine it as markers on your original loop, so that once you export it as a new program as you would do usually the result is basically the same EXCEPT you can go back into Trim mode and have the full wave there and adjust any of the chop points you want at a later date.

Add to that zooming in on the waveform and it's definitely a winner!

get 2...in my opinion it's an improvement from 1. Everytime I'm making beats at my buddies, who's rocking os 1, I get all frustrated because I feel like I'm taking a step backward. I like os2 because you can designate a start time for audio tracks, rather than just being able to start on the 1...aside from many other things. Like the visual representation of what you record. Pretty cool!

1k users still have all three licences available, 2k5 users are forced to buy XL. Once you have XL you can downgrade to OS2 if you prefer.

haha. maybe I shouldn't even be in this thread  , but I thought that os2 xl is available for both the 1000 and 2500. I thought they were virtually identical.
