Problem with Drum Loops tempo

Hi!
Sorry for stupid question(i am novice) but i cant find answer in tutorial and search.

When i load drum loops in mpc 2500, tempo of this loops do not follow for sequencer tempo. What i should to do to resolve this problem?

No OS version, Akai or JJ, has ever followed tempo of loops. For a start it doesn't know what tempo the loops are at. How do you expect it to be calculating this? And then assuming it could mange that accurately how do you think it is going to adjust the tempo to fit? Change pitch? Things will start sounding weird. Auto-timestretch? Get a few loops going on and that's quite a lot of processing power required!

There has been similar threads multiple times over just the past couple of weeks so you realyl can't of searched that hard!

Main recommended method is to cut up your beats in the Trim mode (chop-shop.)

Or you can try playing around with patched phrases.

I forget to told about this:
Because i bought these loops from "Loopmasters "Trance and Techno" sample pack" for Akai MPC, so in the manual they writes "LOOPS contain all the patched phrased 2 loops which are stereo loops which follow tempo of the sequencer similar to rex or acid loops"
So these loops must be in sequences tempo, right?
But they are dont follow..

Hmm seems strange, I would of thought that JJOS would take patched phrases just the same as AkaiOS. Are your loops stereo or mono? Just wondering as this was the only bit I found that may be relevant.

Notes: It becomes a mono sample when the sample of a stereo is converted into Patched Phrase.

Sound like JJOS wont accept stereo patched phrases.


Personally I would suggest trying to move away from patched phrases and use the non-destructive chop. Bit more work but more flexible and rewarding in the long run.

Check again now and see that drum loops follows by sequencer tempo in AKAI OS 1.24
And this is not working in JJ OSXL.
Is this bug or feature JJ OSXL?
It is very useful for me - just change total tempo in sequencer and drum loop change in realtime.

yeah man!!

1>put a lil drum sound on each pad: a hihat hit, a snare hit, a kick hit, any sounds you want in your beats..
2>set the tempo to something you like, and set a number of bars, like 4.
3>press rec start, wait for the 4 clicks, and then tap those grey pad things with some kind of rhythm.
4>change tracks and record some more tapping.use TC to align your performance to the grid..
5>Voila! you have just made a beat that you can change the tempo to your hearts desire, and the hits will always be where you played them no matter what speed you play it at.

Drum loops wich i bought and use now in the track in sequencer has own tempo - 60BPM
But i need 140 BPM in sequence, for example.
So, in AKAI OS 1,24 i can change the tempo of this loops just by changing sequence tempo, just rotating DATA WHEEL.
But in JJ OS XL when i load it in Program, tempo of this loop still is 60BPM, and i can not change it in tempo field

So, i ask, am i stupid or JJ OS XL stupid?

Was thinking to buy JJ OS XL password and use this OS, but now thinking to stay on Akai OS 1.24

What happend if you chop a drum loop by yourself and convert it to an patched phrase? i think most mpc headz don´t use patched phrase...they choped it to single samples.

EDIT: Just found the bit in the official manual saying Akai OS only works in Chop Shop at all in Mono so it can't be what I was thinking it might be.

Also, maybe it will usefull for somebody in future, i copy answer one guy from technical support of "loopmasters".
I bought sample pack from them and ask them about this problem.

Answer:
"The Patched Phrased loops are in PP2 format which are stereo loops, which
may be the problem I have heard of the JJ OS but I have never used it or
seen it in action, but I would say it is likely that that OS will not load
PP2 files corectly as it is an recent update by Akai.
You will ethier need to load the latest OS from Akai or create mono
Patched phrases with the JJ OS.
Whilst we make the content for the Akai Packs from our loops and samples
they are packaged for Akai, so we can not support any third party
