Yeah Akai, c'mon! Don't be a little beeotch!

Who knows, this may tarnish the Akai rep to the point that you have to shut down. You don't want that, do you?

Word on the street is: the mpc1000 is buggy. I'm just sayin'.....

That said, maybe you guys should try not relying on long-ass uncut loops for your songs. Just a thought....

I have not had mine do this, but I also have not done any heavy programming on it > I think you would need to use an external sequencer, computer maybe?

:?

HA HA!!! yo that does it, the 1000 is shoddy, great idea, but it's a roach motel of an mpc. If you got one that works perfect, then great, but it looks like most cats have some bug issues, until it gets it all repaired, it gets the thumbs down. I really wanted it to be good. A recommended it before people were talking about the bugs, and a friend got it and returned it in favor of the 2000, I'm glad he did otherwise he'd be up in my grill if he got any of these problems.

I am getting the impression that none of them work perfect... I think that this whole fiasco kind of illuminates the vast majority of inexperienced users that are associated with this machine. I am not implying anything here... it is a new and affordable product, it makes sense. It just seems that everyone is enthusiastic to make it out to be the tit's milk. This tit seems a bit veiny and the milk a tad sour. But it is squishy like most tits that I have known...
ok I'll stop
I don't think that I care anymore. I have just become the MPC hater. I will not even support them if they fix this bug. Screw Akai and their ethics.

You should spend more time making beats and less time bitching about akai's shortcomings it ain't that bad man dry your eyes :(

Everybody on this topic that gives a shit! should send an email to akai support (mailto:[email protected]) & or (mailto:[email protected]) with a copy of every page of our comments. They can ignore a few emails here and there but not from all of us!

I must admit I was going to buy the 1k just this week-end, but after reading this post, no way in hell am i going for it. I'm a veteran MPC user, but my 2000xl just died a couple weeks ago after a fatal gig accident. Estimated repair is like $500 but i guess i will go that route...these drop outs issues are simply UNACCEPTABLE. (not to mention no zoning). USB would have been nice but oh well...

I make beats incessantly and scratch like a mofo. But maybe you are right... let's just accept the mpc 1000 exactly how it is. I have, and I have moved on. But I am still a saint and for some reason, I enjoy alerting others of a potential problem that they may not know about. But I do not want to seem like a cry-baby... so I will use this emoticon:
My, there were a lot of "buts" in my post.

we should just not do a simple basic procedure that a machine should be fully capable of doing just because the os is buggy, thats just dumb

Am I missing something? The drop out has nothing to do with the length of the sample. It happens also to one bar loops and single hits.

I agree with you loo2004ep. Its just that when you hit a wall when you are working on a song, you gotta figure out a way around it. I'd rather not have to save up to buy a totally new/different machine. I want to do most of the stuff on the 1k, so I try not to plan on doing things that I know the machine isn't capable of. You know what I mean. You will just make youself mad and stop your flow.
