Still don't know what to think...

well, we'll just have to keep watching...

kind of annoying how he spends half the video showing that it can do midi learn.

It just looks like Midi triggering from MPC.

In the video He is setting the MIDI keys/buttons in the JJ sequencer. (I believe MPD 32 + that would be just like a virtual MPC!)

yeah it does look that way. now he needs to make it work in a vst environment and be able to share files with the mpc and thats about all anyone can ask these days outta this box other than maybe some midi interaction. its all anyone else is doing. its really just too bad that there isnt a full spec as far as sysex goes so software interaction can be something else besides crippled. too bad you cant get the parameter info and sequence commands to the computer and back over USB. THAT is a good reason to check out the new stuff.

i think its the beginning of a new horizon in music, one akai is behind already with the ableton controller 'APC40'...

nothing against the ableton guys, but i think akai should have gotten behind native instruments haha

not one for aesthetic supremacy there ew?

it looks unhealthy, i wont be going near it, what on earth could JJ really be bringing into the sequencer world, that we aint already got, 1000000x's better.

bad moves.
