Before some of you rev up to sharpen ya newbie comments skills (lol)
1. Yes I read the book a few times
2. Yes I downloaded the ammendums and refence book
3. Yes I've been cussed out by my woman cause I have been neglecting her every since I got the 4000 (so now my skin is thicker lol)

So to mak sure I understand this right, the 4000 can not read the programs from the 1000 and to do so I would have to find a converter that could handle that task?

I read the book on how to load programs and such, but when I go back to the main window, nothing can be heard but the "in" meter on the lower right will show that something is there (it will move up and down as I hit the pads) also I can go to the load page and " audition" every sound I have loaded on it...even the ones from the 1000. A friend had a disc with a boat load of kits on it and those do the same (think it was from a 2000 or 2000xl dont quote me on that tho)

If this may help Im running:
iMac
Pro Tools 7.4.2
Reason 4.0
Axiom 49
MPC 4000

I'll make a stereo instument track, arm it, set the inputs to 5/6 and nothing...I can't hear the sounds but I can watch the meters in PT move and only hear the sounds when I audition each one. I also can hear the clicks when I press play and recored and see them moving the meters in PT. All samples in each kit is in .wav forum.

Any help will do, Im reading this book front to back, but feel im missing one small part.

Asign the program to part first. Make sure you are reading user manual on the first ten pages. Just missed a small part.

ok...imma ass...They are not programs...they all are samples (they have the lil play symbol next to it) I cant get the samples to play...when I go to load its stuff already on the pads...so let me get back down here and brainstorm this out.
