my mpc is ****!!!!

I have everything ready(drums and sequence) but when I pan individual sounds all the way to the left, the sound I can still hear it coming out from the right speaker... I mean it doesnt even sound like its panned. I have the mpc output connected into my computer soundcard so that I can use the speakers on both pc and mpc without the need for an outboard mixer... Man I need to know whats up, when I listen thru the headphone, it is panned but not when I listen out of my speaker monitors...


It wont pan all the way to left.. I mean wtf, it doesnt pan to the left at all.@@@@@@@@@

Nope... must be somethign your doing...

Check your outputs.... thats the classic scenareo... Assigned outputs, Stereo Mixer settings, Individ Mix Settings, Physical outputs,..And your Sound Card Mixer....

The problem you having is 'probably' from your 1/4 in plugs you have in the back of your MPC.. It's looking like the plugs from your stereo outs may be mono. Unplug any one of the stereo outs, and if you only see 1 black ring on the plug, it's mono. If you have two rings, then you may have an adapter on the other end going into your computer. Stereo channels need 2 wires to mix the sound (2 rings on the plug).. if you only have 1 ring (mono plugs) it's going to mix the 2 channels into 1.

There won't be anything wrong with your MPC.

What is the input on your soundcard? Is it one socket or two. Check the options window for the soundcard & see if it is switched to be a stereo input.......or if you have some kind of software mixer, check how the channels are set on that.

Make a mad stereo sample on the MPC using very different mono sounds
left & right. Do you hear them as a wide stereo sound when they go through the soundcard or are they mixed to mono....both sounds through both speakers?

yo. check the software mixer to your sound card........... there you will find the problem and make the adjustments

^^^^^ nope I have an audiophile soundcard and nothing is muted...... everything is set up perfect inside the audiophile soundcard mixer. Must be my cables coz when I unplugged the Right(red) cable of the mpc output, I can still hear sounds coming out of both speakers.

So you get 2 channel for the price of one?......What are complaining about then
It sound to me like you're recording to a mono-track in your computer. What happens if you pan in your software mixer?
Your mpc is fine, and i bet your cables are good too.

^^^^^ huh??? what you talkin bout? Everything is fine when I record in my pc, my problem is when Im pannin say a hihat fully to the left, I still here the hihat comin out of the other speaker.... Nothing worng with my pc or my audio interface so pls lets get the fucos back to my ORIGINAL question and stop asking irrelevant shit!

See that always happens....I go for a ride on my bmx, and it solves all the problems in the world. I should go ride in the middle east.

my soundcard's mixer always change it setting from time to tome.... I didnt even see that the left channel is not panned to the left, it was in the middle. I wonder why my shit changes randomly though. I mean sometime when I turn on the mpc, the internal mixer(soundcard) just mutes its left channel.

Bugs.... Not much you can do about it exept e-mail M-audio to make some better drivers/software.

I used to have an m-audio card too, it changed from Asio to Mme for no reason at all in the middle of a song. Stuff like that can drive me crazy.
