Same here. I bought my 1000 a few months b4 the new mpc shipped with the fixed pads. i got 3 pads that are almost gone. Im ordering my pads as soon as payday comes. (after this, nu-akai will never recieve another penny from me. When it comes to satisfying customers they are lost. I find this pad fix and the fact that a proper OS has to come from a 3rd party maker ridiculous.)

The padupgrade isn't a 3rd party replacement part.

And yes, the padupgrade is definitely worth the money.

The feel of the soft pads on ur fingertips will ease the pain in ur wallet in a sec.

I can confirm Menco's point that my black replacement pads are much softer than the original ones, which makes it far easier on the ol finga tips, U know.

Go for it without hesitation.

yes. very worth it. i wish i had the money to get it.

sooner or later, your pads will die!!!

my pad #3 is dead. i dont assign anything to it. the way i save it is by going to load and then to save with the F buttons.

but i wouldn't buy it unless your pads are like on they're last breaths.

oh... and

you gotta tweak the pad sensitivity with the new ones. but over all they do feel better. my machine feels complete now... there really isnt anything holding this back now from full MPC status. the blue and red original was a toy tho.

i just cant get maschine out of my head tho

actually beat thang is lookin pretty damn impressive as well...

yessh calm down, its only words your reading here.

but to answer your question sir...

when i started i made beats on FL and kinetic, then i decided to buy an mpc because i didn't like the feel of making beats on the computer. i was about to get a 2000xl, but then decided to get a 1000 because of the v 2.0 upgrade announcment. i mean i did my research on what the mpc DOES for me, not on who is using it.

but anyways....

if your pads still work good right now dont worry about the upgrade, because you wont be worried. until your pads start dying you will notice it.

actually let them die, so you could see for yourself why you need the upgrade!
