Mpc 4000
Numark tt200 /w shure M44-7 needle
Denon mixer X120
TT200 to the Denon, Denon to the Phono MPC 4000.
I recently purchased the turntable and mixer. This is the start of sampling for me and I'm having a problem.
I was trying to sample some bells from a record and no matter what kind of eq settings I made on my denon I could not capture the Hi Freq to get the bells only. I tried many eq settings, i gave it some mids and nothing. I gave it some lows and nothing, so on and so on. There is also Options on the mixer PGM1/2 and Master and I tried recording from both. I tried volume but nothing.
Can some one help me?
I also tried running the recordings thru the filters of my MPC but it's not what I wanted. I want to record what I can hear from my monitors Event 20/20.
As, I'm typing this, there is one thing I did not try and that is record to my Cubase just as audio then just dump it to the 4000. I'll try that tomorrow. If that works, I don't need the denon I'll just return it and get my money back. M
Maybe it's the RCA cables? Maybe the phono on the MPC 4000. Not sure.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? How do I sample correctly?
