mpc 500 important questions

Hello, I just got my mpc 500 and I am trying to figure out how to save my beats on my pc, do I need certain cables in order to do it? Let me know,
Also, I have a question about mpc memory, now it has only 16 ram memory, and when I try to save something a command that says "insufficient memory" sometimes appear on the screen.

yes, I went thru the manual and it does not specifically say how to save my beats in mp3/wav format. Your advices would be helpful,

wow dude, the 500 dont save in mp3/wav format... you have to track your shit out to a program and then export that shit as mp3/wav. (track into audacity, export file as .wav)

No, you put the outputs of your MPC500 in to whatever you record to.

You make your beat on the MPC 500 and then you send it to your computer via USB or through the outputs of the mpc to an audio interface of your computer.

Get a cable from that goes from the output jack on the 500 to the Mic jack on your PC should do it.
You may get a bit of distortion since its a mic jack, but it was never enough for me to notice if it does. Just adjust the signal low, which the 500 usually is anyway.

Audacity also records from the USB input if you get something to convert your 500 output signal to a USB signal.

You can also get the 128 memory expansion and record your song back into the 500 by resampling, and then just transfer it from your CF card to your computer like a sample.
But you cant do any live mixing that way. It has to all be preprogrammed and the song converted into a sequence first.

how to send it to my compute by using usb? I've connected mpc 500 to my pc by usb cable, and I went into its folder (MPC500disk) so what ellse should I do to save my bit in mp3/wav format? should I convert it by using audacity (in what format should my beat be in before converting it?)
Also, I want to buy ram memory, would this one work?

RESAMPLE THE OUTPUT.

The same way you drag and drop songs to your mp3 from the PC and vice versa; is the same way you do it with the MPC, but you're dealing with wav. format. So after you worked your sample in the PC and going to export it to the 500, be sure to set the conversion to wav. 16bit at 44.1 kHz.

There is NO WAY to get ur beat as a .wav or .mp3 straight out of ur MPC, YOU will NEED to connect ur OUTPUT to your RECORDING DEVICE. FFS LEARN TO READ.
