Is My MPC Fallen Apart??

Whats up everyone. Well I try to make this plain and simple.... my MPC1000 is not acting right. (1)I can't load any samples through USB or CF Card. (2) I can't save anything on it. (3) Says file not found, file corrupted, directory error, etc.. (4) When I load a program and sequence, sometimes it plays the wrong stuff... I don't know whats going on. I have reformated the CF Card, I have done a factory reset, I do have plenty of free spce, and I disconnect and save and load everything the right way so I don't know. Basically I can't use my MPC because I can't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

what size card?
formated as what?
how many samples do you have on your card?
have u tried other cards?
what do you have saved in the 500's memory?

1GB Flash Card, .3.08 JJOS, 128MB RAM, 1029 Files (Including samples, sequences, and programs), 682.3MB Card Free, 122.4MB Wave Free, 1664KB Seq. Free; MPC 1000 Blue.

Have formated the card atleast 4 times (On the MPC and on my PC) , factory reset 4 times, can not load data through USB Cable (It doesn't even show up as 'hardware connected' on my PC), can not load data through memory card (although when I insert the card on my PC it shows all my latest samples, just not on the MPC)

Just in case your wondering, I correctly load, transfer, save, eject, etc.. all my data/work when I'm done.

reseat ram

yeah try to reseat ur ram
try to format as fat and only put a couple samples on ur card and see if that works..

i had a ton of samples on my card for my 500 and i would be able to use it for about a half an hour then it would freeze up on me,,,come to find out,it was something in a sample that i downloaded,,,,i went back through and fixed all my samples and got rid of the ones i thought were "corupt" and ever since then it has ran fine...

im not understanding how you format in mpc and pc,,,when u format in the mpc,,then only the mpc can read it,,because its in a mpc format,,i have formated in my mpc and ended up throwing my cards away because i need them to be able to be read by my computer...hope u get it man!!

Sorry for the dumb question but how do u 'reseat ram'? I know how to format card but haven't heard of reseat ram.

re-seat ram. take it out and put it back in.

are you sure you didn't bend a pin in the flashcard drive?

Ok I'll try the reseating process and see if there's any luck.
I don't beileive there's any damage on the drive I'll check it out though just to be safe.
But what about not being able to USB Transfer? Will reseating ram fix that maybe?

perhaps. its something you should try. im honestly stumped as to why you are having these problems

Alright, well tried all the above and no progress. When I tried to load a program & sequence it said 'wrong file'. Still unable to connect USB to PC. I have plenty of free space on my Flash Card (291MB). So I don't know what to do. I tried the 'factory reset' by holding earse while powering up but no luck. Is there another way to do a reset? Am I not doing it right? I don't know. Any additional suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you guys for help.
