remixing a track

sup yall

gonna be remixing a track i got the acapella for.. now, ideally id like to put a break off vinyl to it for the beat on the MPC, but how should i go about matching the timing ? is "Tune" good for this or should i timestretch on the computer first... ?

anyone got a good method for this ?

I find that the tightest way is to, first, find the bpm of the original song for the acapella. Then chop the acapella up into individual verses and choruses and fit them to the track individually. I find that you get quite a bit of drifting when you just slap the whole acapella over the beat.

Tap tempo....to get close (if not completely accurate) Then use the pitch adjust on your turntable to fine tune things. Blend the two together and make a perfect match.
