i'm not hating on mpc3500, i have no reason to.

But, not even a month after the beatkangz is announce, and i think even before their NAMM showing, this cat MPC3500 was already a beta tester.

How did that happen?

This thang looks pretty cool except for a few things,

1)It looks like a damn toy...comeon detachable grill...is that serious? Who the hell thought of that? That right there alone makes me think Fisher Price..

2)Marketing and promotion. Those guys should let someone else handle that. They make you not want to buy the machine. Almost better to have no marketing that makes you not want to own the machine.

Gimicks never last man! If its for real, then repersent it, but dont make it a gimick.
The First "real" beat machine?? Thats pretty ballzy..

Either way its good to have options, good luck with it.

But not for a stack.

$149 maybe.

You will have the option to output as 12bit or even 8bit.... You can make things as dirty or clean as you want.

Also the bang feature will allow you to run the master out put through a 2inch tape or tube simulator and tons of other Presets including old record which will allow you to control the hiss and crackle and year of the record so 1960 sound or 1930 sound... I been using that allot to create a real grimy sound. Also the tempo sync filters and flange are cool.... We've got all the standard FX and some wild crazy ones to mangle your sound. You will be able to create your own FX presets too of course.

We are gonna leave the FX section open for 3rd parties to eventually develop new FX for us too. Sky is the limit.
You will have the option to run the final mix through everything to color your sound or resample drum sounds etc through it.

Sorry I havent been on here more it's been crazy busy. I'll keep checking in though.

Going by the shit it's going to do this thing looks like it's got a lot of CPU power under the hood....
Is the MIDI handled by a dedicated chip?
And how comes it's only a 96 PPQ sequencer? If it can run all those mad FX and have all these tricks I would of thought might as well increace the resolution

Thought up of a cool little time saving feature today for a MPC like machine..
When you record your sequence lets say on track 1 e oldie way says you would have to record in the kick on 1 then move to the next track and record the snare on 2 and so on for example..although you can do this without stoping it..you cant record on seperate tracks in one go

What about something where you can que up what sounds will be recorded on to what track so when you hit record and tap a sequence at once with kicks, snares, high hats and so on you only have to do one take on one track as the machine has assigned the kick to ch1, snare on 2 and so on..huh are you getting it?

How's every one feel about this idea?

Hey vinyl_junkie_1620

We are hoping to up the ppq up to 960 ppq we are gonna allow you to set the PPQ to what you want so you will be able set it at lower values to for different feels....

Also our machine already kinda works that way as you described. Each pad is almost like its own track cause you can adjust every value for each pad VOL, pan, fx send, etc and also mute and solo pads.

I think what people want is the ability to export with out having to solo each pad..... We want that too. So we will work on a way to allow users to bounce each pad one at a time with one button press so that it's all automated.....

meaning we make the computer solo each pad and export it out so when you drag it to protools etc you have every Pad you sequenced on a separate track in your daw. This wont be in 1.0 but it will be high on the list for an update.

maybe like lexicon or something... would be cool. Although having original fx is cool.
