Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

Going to pick up my 2500 from the store in a second. Can't wait for this. Have the HDD, CD-Drive and the RAM all ready and waiting.

Now, JJOS. Would you recommend I put it on straight away or leave it for a while? Just in-case the MPC faults and needs to go back.

I would wait to make sure everything works before you pay for JJOS. As you know, you can take your hardware out and return it, but you can't take JJOS, as it registers only to the machine it was purchased for.

I made the mistake of buy JJOS as soon as I got my 2500. Then I found out there was a problem with my main outs and headphone outs. I thought I was going to have to return my MPC and lose the money I paid for the OS. Luckily, I was able to fix the MPC quickly for very little money. Otherwise, I would have been screwed.
