If it aint one thing, its another hahah. I got the volume situation worked out. Had to change a setting in the mixer pad of the MPC. NOW, it only records one piano sound. Itll play all the other sounds, but when it records, it changes it to this certain piano...? Im using comp speakers btw.

do you still have ur midi hooked up..if so try un hooking midi and recording...i suck with midi so everytime i try to use it,it fvks me up also!!!

That specific cable sucks balls. Try this, get a 3.5mm to RCA connector. Then get phono to 1/4 inch trs adapters. 2 of em. Whole setup will cost about 14 bucks, 16 if they're gold plated. Then plug the 3.5 into your headphones. The 1/4 inch plugs to the Record in on your mpc. That should do it.

Are you recording MIDI data or audio? Sounds to me like you're recording the MIDI (note information) rather than real audio and you have the keyboard set to transmit on a single channel (probably MIDI channel 1) so you are always playing/recording the same sound from the keyboard.
