How do I start and stop a sample like a record?

I remember reading on here somewhere how to get a sample to start up slowly like you just turned the power on on an old record player. Also to slow to a halt. I did a search but couldnt find it. Again, Thanks in advance...

Sonseelye, I do use the slider for similar things, but in this case I really want to be able to lurch forward from a complete stop as well as slow to a complete stop.
Mikolo, could you be a little more specific as to what settings I should try? I'm not able to mess with it now, but I'll try it out tonight. I just remember when I first tried it, I couldn't quite figure out how to control the sound the way I wanted to.

first off theres a base level setting, this should be at 0 if you want it to gradually speed up or 44,000 if you want it to gradually slow down.

from there on in it works similar to a filter adsr , the depth setting is important to get the envelope ADSR working - the attack setting will control the speed of the initial pitch change, decay,sustain,release might need to be messed with too to get whatever effect your after.
