USB 1 to USB 2

Yo just a quick 1, some pc dude at work 2day was telling me that the difference between usb 1 or usb 2 is only to do with the plug inside the box(pc or mpc) and they should all be generic and if you can upgrade a pc to usb 2 by changing the plug thing then you could upgrade the mpc to usb 2... any thoughts/knowledge????

This info is just for PC's. I don't have a MPC4000 so I can't say if this is the same info as for PC's.

- USB 1.1 will work fine on USB 2.0 ports, but they cannot utilize USB 2.0 capabilities. They will default to slower speeds.

All in all, you should get a Hi-Speed 2.0 USB. This devices will revert to Full-Speed (slower speed) operation when connected to a USB 1.1. Understand that Hi-Speed is at least ten times faster than Full-Speed in actual operation, so the speed difference is quite noticeable.
