4000 plus(blue) or 4000 white one?

yo i think i heard some people say 4000 plus is not built well or smoethin like that
is that true?
i can get a white one for 1200 and blue one for 1400
which one should i get ?

get the light blue one and get light blue wallabee clarks.

I'm the blue one user and I can say I get many FATAL ERRORS when I try to audition large files (something longer than 50 seconds or so) but as you see I know what causes problem so it is easy to overcome it. I don't know if white one have this but I'm sure it can't be diffrent as it uses the same OS. For example people are talkin that their white oens are better than blue ones but they can't say why. From my point of viev I can say model plus will be in better condition as it came later.

Get white one... Had the blue 4000 and had the fatal error problems... Now I have the white mpc4000 studio d for over a year and never had a single problem

i havent seen a fatal error on the white one either. and i use it for more than 5 years. sometimes it frezzes though when auditioning or loading incompatible wav files and there are a few other ways to freeze up the mpc but no fatal error messages. But I m gonna try to audition a 3 minute wav file tomorrow just to be sure

maybe the blue ones came with crappy hard drives? or other memory, or something elese maybe..?

It's possible that Akai started using cheaper parts in the blue models to cut cost. But, I'm believe they are the same. I'm rocking the white one.

They are the same just a new color scheme when they started putting out those 2xl mcd disk models before the 1k. You can always buy a blue cover and change it if you wish later. However I have the white one with no problems.

I was told by forat last batch of blue 4000's had issues.

The blue 4K lets you connect to the internet to download samples.

I think the man knows little more about MPC and its internals than you do. I am also sure he's fixed quite few 4000's during his career.

Therefore your word against authorized akai service center/repirman means absolutely nothing
