Any real reason to get a Harddrive?

Hey Guys, alittle advice ....

I work on my MPC 1000 lately to make my music. I stills chop on my computer that has a built in card reader, so i just drag the files to my flash, then work on the MPC, when I am done ... I just move the files back on to my computer harddrive, store it for working later or just track it out to sonar or protool.

Now that i kinda gave you a rough draft of my workflow and considering... Do any of you think it is practical to buy a harddrive for my MPC 1000?

I can understand if other are a must, but again, i am not sure with my workflow ...

Pros or cons if any

golly. yes? fast, cheap, large. what else. as long as youre not playing football with your mpc youll be ok.

Since you only use your MPC for sequencing, donit bother with a hard drive. Just continue storing everything in your computer. In my opinion, chopping on the MPC is much better than on any software.

I Have no doubt that chppoing is easier on an MPC ... i personally am way faster on the computer then i am on the MPC ... but the sequencing on a MPC just feels less robotic then on reason and what not!

everybody works differently... if you chop on your mpc and you've got a method down, go with what you know.

doesn't sound like it's absolutely necessary for you... but if you want one, get one.

I have my whole sound library on my HD. No need to swap cards and stuff. That's a big pro IMO.
Like the others said, it's only useful when u store a lot of samples in ur mp

HD Upgrade is the next thing for me (probably solid state) as I can store all my samples on the HD and still have a grip of space left over. This is key.

i ll upgrade also to solid state as i am doing live alot, andthe

mk1 is supposed to get schocks ! in the action my mpc used to fall

on the floor.... that s why no harddisk.....for me.
