sabu martinez - afro temple *reissue* scratch on the break!!

So i bought a sealed copy of this reissue and i'm listening through everything is crystal then i get to the break on "my christina" on theres a fkn scratching noise right through it which magically disappears as soon as the bass comes in!!

Damn did they seriously press that onto the wax just so you can't sample it or somthing?

Or should i just take it back to the shop (i know the guy well) and swap it for another copy..
Or maybe i'll just get over it.. haha

If anyone else has experienced this let me know please!

my copy is scratch free

cheap vinyl, i got a copy of Becks 2turntables and it scratched too, it was new a dni was playing at a gig all the way thru and motherfker scratched, pissed me off,
i looked at it and the gruv is thin thenflattens out

i havent looked for another copy but i havent seen one either,
sucks cheap pressing companys trying to take the cheap way out.

ive had the same problem with newer records..

the worst is new colored vinyl

I've had the opposite experience really. Everything is coming out on 180g reissues lately. Only people buying vinyl nowadays are ones who give a damn about quality.

yeah 180 gram is always thick and juicy !!



but not all reissue are 180 gram


ive got some real flimsy popped the f-out the plastic ish

the best is when you try and return them and tell the shop keeper that it came out the plastic like that .

Yeah it must be the quality, i mean i'm not that much of a dumbass i'd get a scratch like that on it..
its the kind that sounds really airy like wwwssssshhhht rather than your standard clicking or popping over a scratch.
I'm just stunned at how bad the timing is, i mean its ONLY there over the open drums.. unbelievable!

it's been over 25 yrs that i tried to return a record, now adays you buy itN O REFUNDS if you read around the vinyl area it should say it some where most vinyl shps i go into even the thrift store says NO REFUNDS thats the great thing about vinyl NOW YOUR FORCED TO HAVE TO LISTEN TO OTHER MUSIC. OPEN YOUR MIND to other GENRES.

if you listen long enuff you'll find something to sample from it in the future.

I think dude was more or less pissed about one section of his brand new record having suspiciously bad sound quality, but alright
