Here is a simple question but me being new to MPC 2000 i need an answer.
i have tons of wav samples on my PC hard drive that i would like to load into my MPC 2000 and was wondering what is the easiest way to do that instead of sampling individual samples over again unto a floppy and then load it into the MPC. Please give me a detailed step by step answer....

yo i would goto www.mpc2000xl.com and buy mpceditor. Then get an exteral scis and a external parrell port zip, 2 of them, drives then use that. zip drives are crazy cheap on ebay now and the editor software, which will allow u to make programs to just load up on your 2ooo from .wavs on the pc.

yeh.... you need to convert them wav's first bro. as far as i am aware the 2k don't read wav files. so you will need to do this with some software. i think awave or something will convert to ( .snd ) format.[/b]

No doubt. The MPCEditor is definitely an excellent investment for anyone who has an MPC.

Yes, my MPC2000 reads .wav files. It can also save samples as .snd or .wav......... Has anyone got a 2000 that doesn't read .wav or is this a myth perpetuated by the XL mob!?!

You can't load wav files off of a CDRom but you can load wav files from a floppy or a zip. For some reason it won't read wav files off a cd rom they only read cd roms in akai formats. Maybe that will end the mpc2000 non xl myths.
