What JJ OS you feelin and why?

i use mpc1000 live w jjxl os standalone with other synths, i don t like composing on daw,
i use daw only for recording/ mastering
laptop on stage, oh no, forget it !

i have used every jjos for the passed 2 months or so and i'm goin with os2xl regardless of its minor problems. very intuitive main screen thats very handy for quickly navigating. crossfading loop is great. eQL and eQH filter types come in very handy when passing just wont set the tone and you have no free effects. has TC strength, appreg, chord, zero crossing in trim and the best grid edit of all JJOS. i could sit here n think of a ****load more things i love about it but to wrap this up its just hands down the most efficient and easy to use of the JJOS and offers quite a few things the new 5000 akai os still lacks. if your gonna do it, do it big! go os2xl, in my opinion of course.

I use os2xl

I prefer xfade loop, shortcuts, midi wait, and quantize strength.

I do miss old simult and q links and also from os1's velocity>attack, pitch etc.

I miss qlink to input thru from the program level in the akai os (i.e. not just when your on the in thru screen)

I also miss the fact that the old tempo change was a percentage, now its just a max and min value - percentage is more flexible and more conducive to dj type mixing.I do like the fact that tempo is specific to a program now and doesnt take out a q link like the old method though.

os1 onwards : I couldnt work without alt loop , gpe and jj's super streamlined chopping

i returned to jj os2 due to the fact that q links are not stored in xl.....

i miss the 2nd filter

os2 is working fine for me.....
