i finally finished up my 2000 classic (again..) this time, its permanent..

it's pretty basic, albino..all glossy white, i tilted the screen, and replaced some leds to blue..i was gonna replace the backlight on the screen, but figured i didnt want to rattle any cages and f*ck things up..

Now you just need to craft a wooden surround for the card reader! would be tough but would really set it off!

nice.. is it natural that the rec gain and the vol knobs are backwards?

i would have never seen that if you didnt point it out..lol

that looks crazy though..

some of us color em, some of us buy em..

the ones you see above here, is an SE-3 MPC2000XL.. special edition..came with black buttons and a chrome plate with a design on it..

that's funny.. i didn't even remember that i had the knobs on backwards, i've had 'em like that for years for no apparent reason really.
you can pull them out just like any basic knobs.

as he said my mpc is the special edition 3, all the parts are like that straight out the box.
i like the color scheme - can't go wrong with the black pads and buttons.

to jbraudio: i was planning make a few stands to sell but i just ran out of time. i made three of these stands like two years ago but
this was the only one that i actually finished.
i still got the other two storaged somewhere, i just don't have the time to finish them up. if i had the time i'd much more likely whip out a new improved design - my carpentry skills have improved a lot since i made this.

i'm glad to hear people are feeling the stand tho.. thanks.

wow primemusic i really like the albino white blue led black pads combi !
Really nice and clean !
Wouldn't it be cool if you covered the wooden display casing with some kind of black rubber stuff ,
so it would match the pads ? I'm pretty sure some sort of rubber paint exists..

..blue leds are nice man on that white !

i hear what you're sayin, originally i had planned on making the entire front arm rest out of wood too, but failed miserably..

after i get my 3k, im gonna pay a pro to do it, and stain it the same color of the screen tilt so it could all match!..

thanks for the compliments everyone!

now..how do sample guys? :?

j/k

I'd be interested in seeing pics of a new updated one too!

ok, phase two. i have gotten the wooden panels now, but am yet to attatch them. gotta put the coloured led's and screen in. such a long process! anyone know what kinda screws for the sides i need? i lost mine years ago and dont fancy taking my mpc into a hardware store to find the perfect fit. btw, the photo doesn't do it justice. now i know how people feel when someone says "why did you paint your mpc pink?" haha
