Now i intalled 1.2 , then i went back reinstalled 1.14 to see it will work... didnt work... so installed it back... the drives light is green... only NO Floppy pops up and... now im trying to figure out where is my jumper settings, and i can change it to master or slave.. but i have no clue where its at... how to get there... I am pretty much lost... kinda of pissed cause i paye 125 for some shit i could have dealt with out it... someone please guide me in the right direction... im trying to get back into making music.. but this is giving me an aneurysm...

could be that the plug that connects the drive to the motherboard is loose. Your power cable is fine if the green light lights up, so I'm assuming it's possibly the other cable that is the problem. I didn't have to mess with any type of settings, just made sure to have a CF card in the drive when I powered it up.

When I installed the 8 outs board I had to undo the mcd drive cable from the motherboard and when I powered the mpc on the 8 out card worked great but my CF drive didnt work anymore, it said NO FLOPPY. I opened the mpc up, applied pressure to the connector onto the motherboard and that did the trick. I had just re inserted the cable wrong.

now, i dont have a cf reader in my machine .. yet. but from what I hear, the card reader must be scsi for it to be hotswappable and not atapi (ide) . send a PM (private message) to the forum user "scsi for samplers" because he would for sure be able to give you the right info.

not saying it does, but most of the IDE ones are not and most of the SCSI ones are hotswappable.
