New Version of REX2MPC with Official MPC500 Support

Just launched REX2MPC a few minutes ago and it informed me of an update. I installed it. There's some changes to the interface, but most importantly it has official support for the 500, whereas before it only officially supported the 1000/2500 and 2000XL.

What is it and how can it assist?

2 questions.

1)Is it reliable? I have had problems with these program makers messing up a sample or two here and there

2)does it recognize having only the 12 pads? I hate doing the mental math when making progams on software designed for sixteen pads.

Answer to both questions is yes.

One more does it run on Leopard?

Does it randomly assign samples to pads automatically or can you control it like the MPC Pad 187 software?

I wish MPC Pad 187 was compatible with the 500. I've tried it and my samples end up all over the place even though the note # assignments are the same!

It does it in the same order you assign your chops in Recycle.

when using MPC Pad 187 the app still behaves like you're loading up a program for a 16 pad machine. The quickest way to say it is that the bottom left "pad" on the MPC Pad 187 "A BANKK" screen is the A1 on your actual MPC500.

The pad on screen which is next to it is the same as your MPC's A2.

The pad on screen which is next to that one is the same as your MPC's A3.

The pad on screen which is next to that one is the same as your MPC's A4

The pad on screen which is far left on the second bottom row is your MPC's A5.

This continues so on the "A Bank" of MPC Pad 187 you are actually looking at the whole of your MPC500's A Bank and the first four pads of your MPC 500's B Bank.

I've probably just confused the sh*t out of you!

Downloaded and paid for REX2MPC today - I can confirm that it's great! Reliable, stable, straight forward. Money well spent.

Is there a windows version? I can only find it with MAC OS.
