now i want to make a couple of synth modules that have cv controls. oakley have a nice looking phaser and a ladder filter (which i think is basically the mooger fooger low pass box).

It seems the mpc 1000 outs are NOT DC coupled. The 2500´s really are?
I´ll have my synth back in a few days to try it out.

yes it works with the 2500 ...i have tried with the lil phatty.. and if u wanna change the rates you have to timestretch the sample...

Timestretch? Wouldnt pitching up/down do the trick?

But it´s still not clear to me if it works with a steady dc, like you output +3V to the pitch cv and it holds that tone. Or directly playing the filter with pads.

It´s not working. At least not accurately enough for me.
But this topic got me some good ideas, maybe a mod is possible. If there´s interest i´ll post more about this.

well because of the speed of the lfo...pitching doesnt work, well i have tried 16 level and i don t work im guessing that the frequencys change when you pitch...
thats the problem ist still samples...but jj could fix this problem...think about it using the 8 extra outs for cv controlling..

This is very interesting. I have a dotcom and just bought an MPC-500. I really gotta try this this afternoon.
Does anyone knows if it works the other way around? That is, if you could sample the output from an LFO or envelope with the MPC?

I had to reschedule an appointment with Black Lion Audio here in Chicago http://www.blacklionaudio.com/
They modify ad/da for a living. I'm meeting with them on Monday to see if they can add +5 voltage to the mpc audio board (I will ask about the 2000, the 1000 and the 500 too).
I'm also going to see if they can add selector switches for AC (audio) and DC current. They said they've been getting more and more requests for is sort of thing so the odds are looking good. If anyone could (would) do it, it would be them.
PS, I get about 2.5 volts on the mpc 2500's outputs. +5 is optimal for most control voltage applications. Still works though. You can amplify the signal with a preamp module or anything DC coupled with a gain stage.
