in the search for MCs

Ive begun searching for mcs recently to collaborate with and i find myself wondering if there are any specific resources that people are using in the search other than networking. im talking about specific sites were rappers promote their stuff or a community for mcs and producers to collectively share shit. im not talking about myspace either. there is so much garbage on there let alone music that has nothing to do with hip hop. im throwing this out there because im thinking about starting a site dedicated to bringing together different people with different things to offer in the process of creating a final product. that means mc beat makers djs backup singers mixer engineers. i have the site (unfinished) and am wondering how you would feel about getting involved in something like that. ie posting your stuff or surfing through possible people to collaborate with or competing in online beat battle or voting on mc comps. let me know thoughts, ideas if it sounds like it could be a positive thing.

haha yeah we are literally worlds apart d... except i did live in a 'city' at one stage... which was when i got heavily into mcing, cos more peeps were into that and i got dragged in with that crowd. but now im pretty much isolated.. and that really killed the mcing for me... i needed others to vibe off it. but it did spark my interest in producing again.... lovin it right now, can see the beach from my house, crank up the sounds as loud as i want.. no neighbours to piss off. its awesome
