Is My 2500 possessed???? Weird Pad Triggering...

First time on here))))
I've been using a 2000 for years, but I copped a 2500 on Ebay a few months back....so I notice sometimes that a pad will play another sample even if it only has one samp applied to the respective pad. Or, like five mins. ago, I was programming a snare and during playback the velocity wasn't true to what I played. I can recall even the panning would go out of wack for no reason. My MPC 2000 does none of this weird-type ish. U think maybe I need to get a new pad sensor???? This obvious glitch kills the whole mood... Advice????

Is the phantom sample that plays assigned to another pad? Or just loaded into the memory. If it's assigned to another pad, it's likely the pad sensors. Try cleaning them before installing new ones.

Yeah, it seems to only trigger a sample that is on another pad in the same bank. I also notice that the pad will trigger a sample in the same "vertical" row..... Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking the same thing.....myspace.com/obscurebeatzbang
