if your lookin to go small or semi-small. I would go with that aw16g(what i use) or one the the roland models. Those seem to be the most popular. I like the aw16g because it has 2 effects buses and a few other little things that come "in-handy". It has a cd burner on it. Not to mention, it is easy to use.

id say for the money the DPS and KorgDs are the best. Rolands VSs are overpriced.

nah ive been having a Digi since before the DPS.

i was still planning on getting a DPS since Im using my comp for strictly work now (got a job for a skateboard company doing graphics, lot of take home work & i like to keep work and pleasure sepearate, music being the pleasure) but I just came up on a O1V, so I might get a ADAT or something instead.

go with the Yamaha 2816...I got mine for 750

save up, it's worth it...
motorized sliders, everything else you'd want and EXPANDABILITY!

there are WAVES effect plugins, Apogee Digital Converter upgrades and more...

plus when you start progressing, you can use it with a protools setup on your computer etc. etc...this thing is unstoppable
