I'm using my 4gb Sandisk card in there as I speak right now...

Although, it's on JJOS1, but I don't think that should really effect that as I would imagine something like that would be more of a hardware limitation

I'm back home now, but I won't be on here strong like before, I've got the MPC Forums nicotine patch
attached so I'm OFF of my Forum high for a long while now.

Yes, people have succesfully used 4gb in the 1k before, stop worrying and make music :D

I have the 500 but here's what my theory has been. As long as your MPC's OS is formatting CF cards as FAT32 your theoretical limit is the maximum a FAT32 filesystem can handle. Akai officially stated the 500 could only use 2GB cards, but that was back before firmware updates added FAT32 compatibility.

I use a 4GB card in my 500; someone here used like a 6gb or 8gb card once.

I've heard about a lot of folks on here using 8gig cards.
