New to 2500 Chopping question

Hey peoples
New to the Mpc 2500, i use to do all my sampling Via a Fantom, anyway im fliipin "Playing your game,Baby" by barry white. And theres this annoying as fu*k sound through out the track and the part im sampling, dunno what instrument it is, but it sounds like some wooden thing. Anyway, My question is, has anybody chopped/ filtered this sample on the 2500 and managed to get that sound chopped/filtered out?? Whats wierd is i can do it via the fantom, im not able to do it via the 2500...
any help would be apprecited, thanks fellas.

How did you do it in the Fantom? Maybe try sampling one channel only.

I just wanted to learn how or if it could be done on the mpc. I used the fantoms filters to get it out. They are a lot more effective then the mp's.

Sample the whole part into the Fantom, take the shit out. Then transfer the sample to the MPC and chop it!
