The digital out on the 1000 is used only for audio. In order to sync the 1000 to other gear you must use a midi connection. I use my 1000's digital out to record into Reaper, and sync my mpc via MTC (JJOS) and everything syncs fine.

Id rather track out of my 1k digitally 2 tracks at a time and take longer than using the Aux outs.

2-tracks @ a time?? i thought it was one.Anyways the next beat i make im gonna track digital and see what i can do.Kinda sucks tho cause i gotta do one track at a time and all my inputs on the 003 will just sit there until i get better pre's.

If I am In a hurry I will send my bass, kicks and samples out the aux out of the MPC and save the digital for the hats and other instruments that require more detail.

i figure the bass, drums and samples were more important for me anyways.Imma track sumthin today and fool around with it.

well i think digital sounds better if you dont have the bread for a nice pre amp but if you have some api 512s sitting around or something in that qaulity range, i would def go analog way before digital.
