Converting sequence files into WAV?Is it possible??

I am trying to drop the sequence files from my MPC onto my computer but, the editting program I am using (Acid 4.0,Sound Forge) is not reading the sequence files. Is their a way to convert the files into a WAV format?????If their isnt a way what would be the best method of manipulating these sequences on my computer???Any input would be most appreciated.Thanks

Save the files on the MPC as .MID first, *then* import into soundforge. But that doesn't include the sounds, only the pads you hit & when, etc. If you are trying to just bring the whole track into the PC, then either resample as the last post mentioned, or go through the concept of syncing your MPC to your PC's sequencer, & record the audio tracks in that way.

can sound forge now can read midi???its new for me.

I'll check out the thread but I'm still lil confused where I'm sappouse to resample from. Sorry about the newbie questions. I'm just not to aware of what resampling does.

It "burns" a wave to the memory card. Go under record. Turn data wheel to main out.

yes, resample your sequence, then import it on the PC desktop via the USB connection. Then open Acid and import the file.

You cannot import directly mpd file (midi or whatever) in Acid or in any audio / sequencer directly from the mpd. Internal memory qnd flash memory are 2 different things and you can only edit the flash with a computer and the usb.

Alternatively if Acid can record live, you can sample the mpd output in Acid from your pc audio in. Choose your preferred way.

what is exactly an "mpd"..that sounds like a next generation mpc..or pronounced by a Ferengi trader with a speech impediment LOL PEACE

It's a drum pad, ie the mpc1000 pads without the sampling and sequencing engine of the mpc1000.

I have Acid 4 as well. If you just record your seq into Acid as audio and then trim the extra sound you don't need from the recording. Once thats done go to tools in the menu bar and render to new track, it will save as a wav file.

I have done this before so it should work for you as well.

Wow that would be a good reason to have maxed out MPC memory. You can resample your tracks and bring them over with USB rather than having an extra conversion process.

I've tried recording directly into Acid by plugging the MPC into my souncards input but, I am getting no levels. I can't figure out what im doin wrong :cry:

I had that same isssue with the levels when I first tried it as well. You have to go into your advanced settings in your sound card. Just right click on the little speaker at the bottom left hand cornor of your screen, well at least that is where mine is located.

Go:
1) Adjust audio properties

2) Click advanced under audio volume (your audio volume mixer should come up)

3) Once audio mixer is up click on option at the top left hand corner and select properties.

4) At the top of the properties menu you should see an option to select either playback or recording. My computer defaults to playback but you want to select recording so that Acid will pick up the levels when you try to record audio in.

That should do it,let me know if you have an issues after that.
