Hey, can anyone tell me how to hook up the Mo Phatt to the mpc 2500. I also have an m audio keyboard which I connected to it too but when I hit the keys I can't hear any sound. I wanna be able to play the sounds from the mo phatt, into the 2500 but I'm going wrong somewhere. Any help appreciated.
cheers

No I don't have a mixer and I'm using headphones. I'm pretty new to this so I'm not too sure what you mean by full midi setup and direct record, but I wanted to have it so that I'm playing the keys with the sounds of the mo phatt whilst listening through the mpc. Then I can just hit record on the mpc and play a bass line over the beat. Can this be done ?
I have 2 midi cables, I tried going out of the keyboard, into the mo phatt then out of that into the mpc but that didn't seem to work, like no sound played when I hit the keys.

Yea I don't have much patience :? The mo phatt didn't come with a manual but I'll check the mpc manual. Still, can you guys help me out, like what other cables to get ?
cheers.

I did look at that picture but it shows the sound module going into a mixer which I don't have. The only way I managed to hear any sounds from the module in the mpc, was to go to record function. But I would just be sampling the sounds that way, unless I've missed something. Would I need to get a mixer ?
cheers

Youre in good shape if you can hear the EMU in record mode. Now try pressing the INPUT THRU button...

I use my modules like this, pretty cool... real simple setup.

yea that worked but it's not recording  like i got a beat looped, then overdub a bass line, and I can see the lil lines recording in when i hit the keys, but when I play it back there's no sound! lol so close

You trying to record audio into the MPC? Use "direct record" for that. There's a tutorial for that on Youtube to help get you going

I checked that video and that's what I wanna be able to do, but I have jj os xl and I can't see that "direct record" anywhere, you know where it is on that ?
