Stereo to Mono

So I sample one channel of a stereo track. I go to chop said sample, so far no prob. When I flip thru the newly sliced peices, nothing on either side..
So, Is there a way without JJ to convert stereo to mono? My EPS can do this.. Help!

why didn't you just sample it in mono mode in the first place?

Damn, am I really that slow. I guess I get into the flow of things and forget the small stuff. which page is that option on?

It's in the record mode, top RH corner you can choose between L, R, or ST...
