Turntable?

Hi,

I am just after a turntable to simply sample (no scratching). I know a needle is the most important part. However, I am about to decide between the following;

- Technics 1210 MK2
- Gemini XL500 II

The Technics almost twice the price of the Gemini.

Anyone have a Gemini or is it worth paying the extra for the Technics?

any belt driven turntable will do if you are not scratching.

If you are scratching, than what you need is a direct drive turntable.

dont waste more money when you dont need to.

Go with the Gemini and an amazing needle.

Plus, these questions have been asked and answered. Dont be lazy and do a search next time.

Yeah, I am familar with belt / direct drive set-ups and needles etc. The question was more on brand quality I guess.
