Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By jdbc Fri May 01, 2009 6:39 am
I've tried the search function, so if anyone can point me to the right thread or just tell me how to get this worked out, I will gladly watch this thread sink past more important stuff:

Basically, I'm having that problem with having my pads play sounds twice unintentionally - I hit a pad, and sometimes it plays the sample once, but sometimes it plays the sample twice very quickly. I fixed it on a prior MPC, but it's been a while since I had to do it, and just plain out forgot how to get there.

If anyone can tell me how to get that figured out, I would greatly appreciate it - I'm on an MPC2000XL, OS 1.14.

Hey man I think you are double tapping the pad.

The only fix is to stop doin it, learn to hit it just once. unless you turn note off.

Do you usually hit each pad with two fingers? Try to avoid, if so. The two points of impact used to give me double triggers when i played this way.

make sure you hit the pad as close to the center as possible. If you tap the outside of the pad, youll get a double hit (at least I do on my xl....)

you're not alone. on my xl it happened a few times and when I tried to repeat it that seemed to be the way it happened.

never mind stopping it, try and figure out how to master it!
