ok, you've proven me wrong. :oops: as you state, akai calls it resampling in the s950... therefor i did too. guess i'm not clued up to the science behind it. forgive me...

Cool, but I wasn't really trying to prove anybody wrong I just wanted to be sure we were talking about the same thing.
The best thing the older samplers use to do was allow you the variable input rate of sampling your sounds, to me that's how you get those S-950 drums.
Filtering works but the filters on most newer samplers don't allow you to hit the right zones.
