"MPC2000XL: SEQ, ALL, PGM, WAV (When PGM file is loaded, only pad assign is loaded. Other edit parameters are ignored)"
This description of PGM loads is not exactly correct. Pad volume (sometimes), attack and decay settings, and tuning are also copied. What you'll lose is any filter settings (the 1000 has a different setup for filters anyway) and any velocity sensitive settings, as well as "Simultaneously Play Pad xx" settings. (these can all be duplicated via manual programming) Mostly you'll find yourself verifying correct volume levels and fixing filters/simultaneous sounds.
I'm still in the process of converting the old Breaks n Bass 2000[xl] library to 1000 format. Haven't had much time lately, but the drums are done, I'm just relooping the bass sounds and checking their programs. In converting the snds to wavs, they lost their looping info. Ah, well.
