I just had a show last night, and when I got home and plugged the MPC back up, my pads started acting really weird. Anytime I hit the pads hard , it will trigger another pad, and with full level on, it will trigger another pad intermittently. If I go into the program screen, you can see the pad numbers changing by themselves; it's impossible to make a beat now. I thought it was the pads, but when I load OS-2 up, the pads work fine, so I assumed OS-1 in my system just needed to be reloaded. Wrong! The problem only happens with OS-1. I even re-downloaded the OS just be sure I had a non corrupt version!
I really hate to upgrade to OS-2/XL because OS-1 was all I needed to get the job done. Has anyone else experienced this same problem? I just backed up all my files to start using OS-2. :(

have you tired raising the "pad level on" setting in the pad settings? that should help.
maybe os2 has it automatically set at a higher setting so thats why it seems like your pads are ok in os2?

hopefully that works, cause i'm an os1 person myself and would hate to have to upgrade just because of some ish like that...

Yea, I tried the pad sensor thing, but the pad numbers keep jumping around. I just switched to OS-2 instead. I haven't used it much, but I already see some nice features that I would have liked to see in OS-1 (like the notes in the main window). I'll toy with it more when I can find the time.
