I always love the way they shoehorn Coldcut into these documentaries amongst the Hip Hop pioneers, because from a UK perspective they were there first. In fact, I think they may have even had the first ever number 1 totally created with just samples, but don't quote me on that!

been waiting on this for 5yrs now, it's about time^^ i got my date locked its' going to be shown on PBS.indendent lens

it's not a beatmaken thing it about sampling and the laws these guys all had a part of a law suit do to there music they sampled , they want to copyright a sound which is absurd someone to copyright a water drop or the sound of a clock ticking C'mon.

it was cool thought they would talk more about sampling and what we can do,or whats going down with this law.
it was allright i recorded it ,something good to have in my archives.

I really liked it. Steve albini was pissin me off though, but that's only cause I know sampling isn't as easy as he seems to think it is, unless you're straight looping everything, in that case it is easy. This doc definitely makes me want to sample at a criminal rate and just steal whatever to spite the record companies, cause they're a bunch of greazzzeballs

makes ya feel kinda bad for clyde stubblefield though



people should sample the hell out of his drumming now and start putting "featuring clyde stubblefield" on every release hiss name should have been credited on all those classics that would not have existed without his talent.
