Can you chromatically set your samples in a mpc 1000 program? Either in the 1000 or in a program on the pc? I guess what I'm trying to get to is there a faster way to load samples in a program?

I'm working on a script program to do this. However, you can get an example .PRG from stereoroid.com, which also has a few notes about using tuning your samples (ie-spreading a handful of samples across 1 or two octaves).

I wouldn't recommend (in general) using the MPC's tune to spread 1 sample across the whole keyboard...won't sound good. You can use a freeware program like http://SoX.sourceforge.com or http://audacity.sourceforge.com to take 1 sample, create at least two or three per octave, then spread those across the whole keyboard (or use soundforge/audacity/audition/cooledit/wavelab to do the same)...

When you say spread acroos the keyboard, my next question is how? Keep me posted on the creation of the program you are working on.
