Playing MPC tracks in Cubase problem HELP!!!

I synced my MPC1000 with Cubase and my tracks play, but the tempo is off slightly. What I mean is when I play the track on the MPC everything plays perfect...kick, snare etc. But, when I play it through Cubase the track is slightly off. I changed the tempo in Cubase to match the track tempo on the MPC like I was supposed to...but it's not on point. It seems like I need some "timing correct" or "quantizing" or something in Cubase. What can/should I do? I tried adjusting the latency in Cubase but still the same problem. Please help someone. Thanks!!!

I had the same problem. It's a latency issue. You running off a PC or Mac? I used to run my cubase off the PC but it was glitchy and Late! I got the Mac and everything syncs fine.

I remember there was a post where a guy let the MPC and Cubase sync for an 8 count instead of a 4 to let the Cubase catch up with the MPC.

Try that, put the Cubase to count in 8 and the MPC slaved up ready to go and see if it works.

I had the same issue but just resolved it. Now I don't use Cubase I use Sonar Producer Edition but it may be the same fix for you...?

In Sonar I had my Ticks per quarter-note set to the default which was 960 but the MPC uses 480. So in Sonar I switched the TPQN to 480 and wah lah... Works perfect! It may be called something else in Cubase but I would look around and give it a try...

I tried 8 count and changing the setting in Record Shift Field and those didn't work. I also tried a different driver other than the Lambda ASIO, and that seemed a little better but not much. I'm at a loss. I just recently got the Lexicon Lambda with Cubase and I don't want to give up, but.........

There should be a drop down window in the Devices section. you should be able to hit a button and adjust the buffer.

Try moving the buffer two notches from the left. See if that helps
