sample cuts off b4 it finishes playing

I am running jjos2xl on my 1000. I chopped a sample that was 1 bar. So i tried to sequence with the sample starting on the 1 of each measure. !st bar the sample plays fine but on the 2nd bar the sample cuts off on like the 4th beat. Has anyone else experienced this behavior with samples not playing out completely? Sorry if this has been covered but i did a search and found nothing. Thanks for any help. And i currently am running jjos2xl 1.13

make sure you aren't maxing your polyphony by checking the voice meter

Well is the pad set to NOTE ON or ONE SHOT? Anyway, go look in step edit--

- Extend the duration of the note triggering the sample for the second bar (if the pad is set to NOTE ON)
- Check for anything extra recorded in the second bar. You may have recorded in a blank pad, which could mute your other pad depending on certain settings.

Thanks for the replies. No its not polyphony cuz just had a kik snare hat and that one sample playing. Elevated you might be right cuz the pad next to it is a blank pad. i will see when i get on the mpc tonight. Thanks for the suggestions.
