Chopping at Beginning or "Top" of a Transient?

Hey everybody!

I got a real Noob-Question about slicing sampes:

Is it better to Chop an the beginning of a Transient, like here:



So it gives a more "natural" Sound, but the Acent isn't exactly at the beginning of the sample, so it is a little bit delayed, compared to the Beat

Or chop at the peak of a transient, like here:



So now it fits better to the groove, but sounds a bit chopped.
(I don't mean the clicking sound when chopping the sample not on a Zero-Crossing!)

Word. Whatever sounds better and fits the tune you hear in your head. It doesn't matter where you chop the sample.

if you're trimming, just take the whole shit and adjust the start point as needed
