and it is a shame.. because the mpd32 has one of the best MPC looking designs that akai has made... they should have 8 faders on all their machines. 8 knobs too... AND all the other buttons. if you look at the damn thing, picture if that was an mpc.

Just copped an HP VS15 and hooked it up but it's not flying...
Any tips? Should this thing be just "plug an play"?

Yes.

What exactly is happening - blank screen?

Yep for the most part, then the monitor tells me it's going to sleep...
It shows signs that the monitor works, just not working with the MPC.
Bogus...

When that happens, I can fix it by turning the monitor off/on.

Still nothing?

I tried that too. Nothing, not even a flicker.

Have u tried a different monitor?

B4 i got my HP, I tried a bunch of different ones. Sometimes I'd get blank screen, or sometimes I'd get a rolling screen. Until I got the rolling screen I wasn't sure anything was coming out of it.

I've tried one other type of flat panel monitor with no success...

Try something other than a flat pannel, maybe a crt.

I found one from an old MAC.

If you want MPC control and visual output on a computer screen buy a MPD24.

Yeah because everyone knows that the MPD is the same as having and MPC. RIGHT?
