Many midi sounds

Hello again!

Wondered if anyone knew of a way to sequence more than one midi sound at once. Have a no. of midi keyboards with inbuilt modules, but want to have one say doing a bass line and another chords. Is this possible on a 500 as only 1 midi in & out? Seen people sequencing lots of different midi on same project on 1000 but wasnt sure wheather theres some way of doing it on a 500?

man ill try and help but im not quiet sure i think its midi out of the mpc to the midi in of your first keyboard then use them midi thru's accordingly maybe divide your modules in two and split them to the 2 midi outs i have no idea about the programs but youd have to set your modules to specific channels and select them on the midi programs screen to the right channel to the right module.. this is all using the mpc as a master and controller

Aye, you'll need to use the MIDI Thru on your keyboards and set each one to respond to a different MIDI chan. (as the single 'out' port sends 16 descrete channels).

I don't believe that you can record more than one MIDI track at a time, but I stand to be corrected (as I've not tried it).

I can have the out from the mpc goind into microkorg then through to the in on my nord then set the nord to midi channel two, which allows me to run 2 keyboards at once, good thinking! Cheers guys...

Nah dont think you can record then at same time, unless they playing same thing, but is good to beef up synth lines etc.
