MPC 2000xl Session open in MPC 5000

hi guys

love the forum, thats the reason why i bought the new 5000. Lot help from people here

just to keep it short

is their a way to open sessions i made with the mpc 2000xl in the 5000?
sure i can open sounds but no way to open the song mode i programmed in my 2000xl
any clue?

I usually open my programs first (*.pgm)
then I open sequence file or all sequences file.
Thats what works for me...
I'll keep an eye out for your response in case...

same problem: can't open ALL PROGRAMS AND SOUNDS files ".aps" in my MPC5000.
Can I convert? or should i save my MPC2000XL tracks as one program ".pgm"?

*.APS is not supported use *.pgm instead

MPC2000/2000XL: SEQ, WAV, SND, PGM (Most parameters of PGM file can be loaded.)

Yeah, I had the same issue I was loading all the samples into my 5000. Actually, I was helping a friend who has a company that sells samples and drum kits, etc... and he wanted me to try the kits in my 5000 to make sure that they work. We found that the 2000XL programs WILL NOT work as advertised or I should say as everyone was saying! However, we found that the MPC 1000 kits work great!

Another cool thing about this is you can simply use MPC187 (Mac Users) to create or fix your programs that were for your XL or whatever?

Go get any MPC 1000 Formatted Kit and it will work great!

Thats because they just fixed opening mpc 2000/XL files in OS 1.02
