my external zip drive broke and i thought it is about time to swap my internal floppy for a 250 zip. i must get 250 because i have 3 main disks that are 250mb with significant sounds and beats. im already set on getting an internal drive, which im getting from scsiforsamplers.com.
so now, my prime question is should i get another external USB zip drive to hook up to my computer for easier access to my samples/sounds? is this possible? it must right?
usually to save sounds from a computer or CD i sample them into the akai and then save them on the zip. i think this sacrifices my time and the quality of sound. having the power to just drag the .wav, .snd, files onto my zip disks would be awesome. what is stopping me is formatting issues. i have a mac so im not sure if akai formatted disks will work on my computer. if anyone has any input on this subject that would be sick.
