Whats up people's this is my first post. I have a motif6 classic and a aw16 mixer/recorder. I have had the motif for two years now. I make hip hop tracks. My beats are mostly non sampled stuff. latley I've been digging for samples and adding it to my production style. I have been able to come up with some banging beats just with the motif but at this point the more i get into sampling i notice how important having pads are. right now I need something to store my samples and allow me to use them how and when i want with the least amount of steps. I've been debating between going mpc or computer. It seems to get the full use of the 4k you should run it with the computer. If your going to do that then why buy the 4k? For me Again I'm looking for a full blown sampler and pads for drums.
Its also seems that the Mv8000 is also and option. Then you have the 2000xl or the mpd pads. I thinking of just getting the mpds and adding a computer to my set-up. The probelm with that is I'm a hardware guy thats how i started and i dont want to slow down right and start a whole new learning curve with computers and music. I know some of you have been in my spot before so if you could help with some pro advice that would be great. Ps sorry for the long post
