blue mfc 42 where?

ive been looking to get the mfc42 for a while now, i just saw a pic of a blue one that matches the 2000xl mcd .anyone know where to find mfc42 besides ebay? thanks

craigslist, but most owners like myself dont want to part with it

I have been wanting a blue MFC to match my 4K, but AKAI never released them in blue. And Pound is right. I don't want to part with my MFC either.

i will have this! always wished my 2000xl had more filters, i use the hell outa what it does have,do you guys still use it alot

Of course they did, I seen them sell in shops...unless they advertised a blue and actually shipped a grey one.

What is really hard to get is an orange one...

I run my TT thru it, when I am using synth sounds I run them thru it to fatten them up. I run the motif thru it mono for bass. When I want to DESTROY some audio I crank the cutoff and resonance...man theres a bunch of uses. Its also REAL dope for getting the low end out of a sample....

I filter some cheesy keygroup sounds, add the phase shifter, adjust the speed & depth to give it that give it that Fender Rhodes, wide/swirl sound.

I talked with one of the guys that use to work with AKAI back in the day, he said "as far as I know they were never released in the Blue color."

I've only seen once the orange one somewhere in the pics of your cribs thread, I think. I've never seen in reality a blue one. However, if you really want one that bad, cop a normal one of ebay (they're not that scarce) and send it over to Forat,

The sound you get from the mfc42 is anything but polite... one wrong move and it screams like a ****! It's a good adition to the MP though.

I turned the Resonance knob all the way by mistake one time. OUCH!!!! My ear was ringing for a minute.

BTW, why is this thread in the 2K/2KXL section?

Yea man! That thing squeals like little piggy! But if you compress the hell out of it you can get some wicked sounds
